Volunteer Opportunity - Board Member

Thank you for your interest in serving as a member of the Board member of Coaches of Influence Foundation (COIF). We are really excited that you have considered to serve with us. Serving as a board member is a rewarding experience and an opportunity for personal and professional growth.

In your role, you will have the opportunity to form deeper connections with the team, our members and the communities we serve. Additionally, we believe that this role will offer you the opportunity to enhance your skills in the areas of leadership, networking, fundraising, marketing, branding, governance, recruitment of committee members & volunteers, international relations etc which can all add to your net worth and impact.

This application and all the information provided will be kept confidential. The information shared will be used to evaluate your determination and readiness to serve as a Board member and also give us a broad picture of your experience. All applicants to the board will go through an interview, review and approval process by the Executive Board.



BOARD OF DIRECTOR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of a COIF board member include the following:

• Attend 75% of board and committee meetings and functions, such as special events

• Stay informed about the organization's mission, services, policies and programs

• Review agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings

• Lead a committee or task force to drive a specific project or program

• Make a personal financial contribution to the organization

• Inform others about the organization, its mission, vision & values

• Recruit board and committee members who can make significant contributions to the board and the organization

• Keep up-to-date on developments in the organization and your specific area

• Follow conflict of interest and confidentiality policies

• Refrain from making special requests of the staff, members and volunteers of the organization

• Assist the board in carrying out its fiduciary responsibilities, such as reviewing the organization's annual financial statements
