The ECOWAS Vision 2050, which focuses on five pillars, namely: “A secure, stable and peaceful region; a region endowed with strong institutions, and that complies with the rule of law and fundamental freedoms; a fully integrated and prosperous region; a region mobilized for transformation, inclusive and sustainable development; a community of peoples fully inclusive of women, the youth and children” aims to engage all citizens and stakeholders in the understanding, commitment and implementation of the vision.
Thus, the ECOWAS is investing in the one the most vibrant population and asset of the continent - the youth. Because an educated and developed youth is empowered to become a key agent of social change and economic growth, the Influence Africa Youth Boot Camp is designed to actively engage the young people to own their development through strategic training and coaching to discover themselves, their gifts, talents as well as set goals and execute innovative ideas that will empower them to unleash their highest potential.
This Intensive Youth Development Boot Camp for participants from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) member states is pegged against the COIF Youth development Program which aligns with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal #8 (UN SDG8) - Decent Work and Economic Growth – to “promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all” and African Union (AU) Agenda 2063 Goals# 12 & 18 - "Capable Institutions and Transformative leadership in place" and "Engaged and Empowered Youth and Children".
