Volunteer Opportunity - Committee Member

In this role, you will have the opportunity to form deeper connections with the teams, our leadership team, members and the populations we serve. Additionally, we believe that this role will offer you the opportunity to enhance your skills in the areas of leadership, networking, fundraising, marketing, branding, governance, recruitment of fellow committee members & volunteers, international relations etc which can all add to your net worth and impact.

All applicants to the committee will go through an interview, review and approval process by the Executive Board and Board of Directors.



COMMITTEE MEMBER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES


The main responsibilities of a COIF committee member include the following:

• Fully engage and participate in all committee projects.

• Attend all committee meetings and functions, such as special events.

• Review agenda and supporting materials prior to committee meetings.

• Offer to take on or participate in projects that the team is working on.

• Make a personal financial contribution to the organization (when needed).

• Inform others about the organization and recruit others to join the team.

• Keep up-to-date on projects the committee is actively working on.

• Follow conflict of interest and confidentiality policies of COIF.

• Strictly adhere to confidentiality policies.

• Refrain from making special requests of the staff/members & volunteers of COIF.

• Stay informed about the organization's mission, services, policies and programs.
