Vacancy - Digital Media & Design Officer - Creative

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

A. Graphic Design & Visual Content
● Design posters, flyers, brochures, banners, certificates, social media graphics, presentations, and other communication materials.
● Develop creative concepts for programs, events, and institutional communications.
● Ensure consistent use of COIF’s logo, colors, typography, templates, and other brand elements.
● Develop and maintain reusable design templates.
● Review visual materials produced by interns or external service providers for quality and brand compliance.

B. Photography
● Photograph COIF programs, events, workshops, meetings, and other activities.
● Produce high-quality photographs suitable for social media, reports, proposals, publications, and archives.
● Organize and maintain COIF’s photographic library.
● Ensure appropriate consent and safeguarding procedures are followed when photographing COIF audiences.

C. Videography
● Capture video footage of programs, events, interviews, testimonials, and organizational activities.
● Plan basic video concepts, shot lists, interviews, and production requirements.
● Produce professional visual footage suitable for different communication platforms.

D. Video Editing & Multimedia Production
● Edit video content for social media, YouTube, presentations, donor communications, and events.
● Produce short-form videos, reels, event highlights, interviews, testimonials, and other multimedia products.
● Add appropriate graphics, captions, subtitles, logos, music, transitions, and other post-production elements.
● Ensure final products meet COIF’s quality standards.

E. Event & Program Documentation
● Coordinate the creative documentation of major COIF activities.
● Work with Program Officers and Coordinators to identify key moments, people, stories, and outcomes to capture.
● Produce post-event visual summaries and highlights.

F. Brand Management
● Ensure that visual materials produced by COIF maintain a consistent institutional identity.
● Maintain organized archives of logos, templates, photographs, videos, design files, and other brand assets.
● Identify and recommend improvements to COIF’s visual identity and creative standards.

G. Collaboration & Support
● Work closely with the Communications & Partnerships Officer and program teams.
● Support presentations, reports, proposals, and donor communications with appropriate visual materials.
● Provide technical guidance to interns and other staff on basic design and content production.



ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Comply with COIF’s safeguarding, child protection, confidentiality, and communications policies.
● Obtain appropriate consent before photographing, filming, or publishing identifiable participants.
● Avoid content that could exploit, stigmatize, misrepresent, or expose participants to harm.
● Protect confidential photographs, videos, personal information, and other sensitive materials.
● Immediately report safeguarding concerns through established COIF mechanisms.



QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Digital Media, Mass Communication, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Media Production, or a related discipline.
● Relevant professional training or certification in graphic design, photography, videography, or multimedia production is an advantage.
● A strong creative portfolio is required.
● At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in graphic design, multimedia, photography, videography, or related work.
● Demonstrable experience producing professional visual content for organizations, programs, or events.
● Experience working in the nonprofit, development, education, youth, or community sector is an advantage.

DESIRED SKILLS:

Proficiency in several of the following:
