Internship - Digital Media Intern

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

A. Content Production Support
● Assist in creating graphics, social media posts, presentations, and other digital materials.
● Assist with preparation of photographs and video content.
● Support simple video editing and content formatting.
● Assist with resizing and adapting content for different platforms.

B. Social Media Support
● Assist with preparing social media content.
● Help schedule approved posts.
● Support collection of information and images from program teams.
● Monitor routine engagement and flag relevant questions or concerns to the supervising Officer.

C. Photography & Videography Support
● Assist with photography and videography during programs and events.
● Support equipment setup and preparation.
● Help organize and label photographs and video files.
● Assist with basic editing and file preparation.

D. Graphic Design Support
● Assist in developing posters, flyers, social media graphics, certificates, presentations, and other materials.
● Work under the guidance and review of the Digital Media & Design Officer.
● Apply COIF’s approved visual identity and templates.

E. Event Documentation
● Support media coverage of COIF events, workshops, trainings, meetings, and campaigns.
● Assist with capturing content and organizing event media.
● Support preparation of event highlights.

F. Digital Archive & Administration
● Organize photographs, videos, designs, and other digital assets.
● Maintain appropriate file naming and folder structures.
● Assist with backups and archiving.
● Support routine administrative tasks related to digital communications.

G. Learning & Professional Development
● Participate in team meetings and feedback sessions.
● Learn professional standards for digital communication and content production.
● Develop practical skills through assigned projects.
● Seek feedback and apply lessons learned.



ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Follow all COIF safeguarding and child protection requirements.
● Obtain direction and approval before photographing or filming program participants.
● Never independently publish content on behalf of COIF without authorization.
● Protect confidential information and media files.
● Treat participants, staff, volunteers, and communities with dignity and respect.
● Immediately report any safeguarding concern to the assigned supervisor.



QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
● Currently enrolled in, recently graduated from, or otherwise undertaking training in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Multimedia, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.

● Candidates with demonstrated practical skills and strong portfolios may also be considered

DESIRED SKILLS:

The intern should have an interest or basic working knowledge of some of the following:
