Personally, I can say that this quarter definitely reminded me that education is not just limited within the walls of the classroom but also through the guidance of key personnel in your life who have gathered a series of experiences in our diverse areas of interest. I have first hand experience in this through our recent Peer-to-Peer Career Guidance and Tech Upskills sessions.

The Peer-to-Peer Career Guidance session made me reflect on how powerful shared experiences can be. Listening to other young people speak about their career journeys, challenges, choices and lessons helped me understand that sometimes the guidance we need can come from someone who is walking a similar path. It encouraged me to become more intentional about sharing what I know and supporting others who may be uncertain about their own direction.

The Tech Upskill session further strengthened this lesson by showing me that education must evolve with the world around us. In today's changing job market, academic qualifications alone are not always enough. We young people also need practical and digital skills that can help us adapt, create opportunities and remain competitive. Research on youth employment in Africa increasingly highlights the importance of digital skills in preparing young people for the future of work.

What I learned most from these experiences is that education becomes more meaningful when it is shared and applied. As a COIF 2.0 mentee, I am learning not only to pursue knowledge for my own growth, but also to use what I learn to empower others. These sessions reminded me that every young person can be both a learner and a teacher.

For me, living the value of Education means staying curious, continuously developing myself, learning from others and creating opportunities for others to learn too.
